We accelerate the adoption of blockchain. This is needed because the current adoption is slow. This is not due to a lack of available technologies, but merely due to a lack of understanding and awareness of the power of blockchain and smart contracts.

We achieve acceleration of adoption by offering interactive training simulations. We use gamification and a real blockchain application to experience how the technology can improve the business processes.

The SMARTYS Simulations workshop is designed around a real example of a logistical process. In this process food is transported by road from a to b, whilst the temperature is monitored using IOT and data stored on the blockchain. The service levels agreed for the transport are laid down in a smart contract between the different parties, including compensation in case of damage (too warm during transport). At arrival the data gathered during the transport will execute immediately and irreversible the financial settlement. This process ensures transparency, reduces fraud possibilities and saves time and costs on financial settlement and damage handling costs.

Based on this logistics use case the participants in the workshop will experience how smart contracts work. They will play a role in this simulation using various materials, including IOT sensors. They will use our blockchain (Ethereum) application and other tools like Etherscan and Metamask. Learning this way is interactive and the most efficient way of learning new technologies.
