Accelogress Limited
Our Accelogress journey started in 2012. After a year of consultancy work delivered to local businesses by our founder Ralf Kernchen, we received funding to analyse the transport and parking market and its opportunities. Research shows that it takes drivers about 20mins to find available parking, a major contributing factor to traffic and pollution. A smart #SmartCities start-up! Through Save-a-Space, Accelogress are raising revenues for their commercial clients, providing convenience to their consumer customers, reducing congestion and improving air quality. What’s not to like?!
Save-a-Space has already achieved considerable traction and success, including winning support from Techstars, SETsquared and Oxford Innovation, receiving significant Innovate UK and EU FrontierCities grants, and securing innovative development partners.
Accelogress are well placed for business growth. Local authorities are a target as they can't fill up 40% of their spaces. If local authorities increased space usage by 10%, they would receive an additional £120m of revenue while reducing pollution.
Working with Accelogress is an absolute delight. They understand that innovation must be accompanied by commercialisation, and have been proactive and smart about leveraging the support offered through their successes. There’s that word again: Smart!

Accelogress are committed to developing innovative solutions and have proactively used the guidance and support we offer to develop their company and raise customer awareness. They have achieved some key engagement milestones including their involvement in the Innovate UK/IC Tomorrow project and their recent partnership with the local Borough Council on an extended parking trial.
They have established a strong working relationship with Surrey University and their business and technical skills are highly regarded by other SMEs based at the Technology Centre, enabling them to build strategic relationships for further market opportunities.
We see them as a company with high growth potential, which can be realised if they are able to complete the optimisation of their save-a-space product and process with acquiring customers in their first target market of parking operators.
