Our Accelogress journey started in 2012. We also conducted focus groups and surveys with more than 360 drivers in the UK and learned that around 40% of participants would be prepared to pay extra for more convenient parking, such as reserving a space in advance.

Our first solution Save-a-Space has been well received by cities we talked to and we’ve run successful trials. Currently underway in the West Midlands with our partners TfWM. It is possible to integrate real-time occupancy data to help parking management. Save-a-Space helps to provide a personalised parking service to customers via the free and customisable Save-a-Space app. For the pre-booked spaces parking operators receive payments via the app.

Benefits include increased revenue, reduced costs for unused parking spaces & operations and generation of big data on driver behaviour. It will help cities to reduce traffic congestion and pollution and provide an improved customer experience that drivers will love, because it will get them faster to their available space.

Just recently we are working on creating a big data solution with the European EDI programme in partnership with electronic payment provider Via Verde in Portugal. The result of the project, the Journey Analytics Platform allows mobility operators to use transactional data about drivers travel and parking in order to identify user groups of similar behaviour in order to improve service to their customers and identify new revenue opportunities with service partners in and around cities.
