At Acreto, we have spent the past 30 months with a team of 16 developers, building a cloud-based security platform with functionality that people said could never be done – protect any type of technology, from any network, anywhere. Between our CEO/CTO, Babak Pasdar, who has previously built two cloud security companies, to Bob Flores, a key advisor and the ex-CTO of the CIA, we have had the brightest minds in the industry working on the platform. Version 1.2 is completed and live with customers.

Acreto delivers a cloud-based Security-as-a-Utility platform that can protect any technology (from data center to IoT), from any network (controlled or uncontrolled), anywhere. The Acreto platform is based on a fundamentally new approach called Ecosystem Security. An Ecosystem is a group of devices users and applications that work together to deliver a specific business process. Once the customer identifies the participants (users, applications, devices) of an Ecosystem, the participants are registered into a virtual isolation container within the Acreto platform. This first step privatizes and separates participants from external internet access and restricts interaction only to Ecosystem members. Next, each Ecosystem member receives per-asset security for each communication to and from each other participant. This ensures that malicious content does not transverse the Ecosystem from a physically compromised device.

The Acreto platform eliminates the need for customers to purchase multiple silo security products to protect their mobile and distributed environments.

The platform is available as a usage-based utility, without the need for hardware, software or expensive licenses. Customer pay for security on a usage basis. Customers can build multiple Ecosystems to cover many business processes by utilizing Acreto’s Web-based self-provisioning functionality similar to AWS. Or, customers that need consulting services around their programs can engage with an Acreto channel partner.
