Afterburner Programme

In April 2014, UKTI selected 25 companies to support in their fundraising efforts over the next 12 months. One year later, the first cohort has raised over $80 million from UK and overseas investors.

How the Programme Works

The programme is free to join and no fees are payable at any time. It consists of 3 easy steps:

1. Apply and our panel of judges, consisting of leading early stage investors and entrepreneurs, will select a maximum of 25 companies to support over the next 12 months.

2. If selected, we'll spend a little time getting to know you. Then, when you're ready to raise, we'll provide feedback on your pitch and materials - until we're happy that you have the best possible approach. We're aiming for a world class result.

3. We'll then make introductions to the best investors for your company. These might be in the UK, but nearly half the funds raised by the first cohort were from overseas investors.
