I am naturally curious about all things science, technical, and business.
At a young age I was converted into a hardcore space nerd. One of the more interesting/proud achievements is entering and winning multiple science competitions for NASA(one projects even went into space!).
On the software side, I created a lab running various *nix based servers and networking equipment. This lab was used to run real-world experiments with various configurations for various different projects such as VPN, IRC, email, VoIP, and countless others.
My hardware experience comes from tinkering with all embedded systems such as arduino, photon, and rasberry pi. There is something magical about being able to take a piece of silicon and interact with it digitally!
For BluBoard I have been responsible for all aspects of the system for the security, firmware, networks, and cloud layers. I have worked with other companies to integrate their systems and create dynamic applications.

Here's a company and a leadership team that's all about execution and getting it done right! SimpleSense impressed the City of Erie from the first responders to its Fortune500 leaders with their focus on understanding customer needs and building for safety, security, and resilience. As the leader of the Erie Innovation District, they have my unreserved endorsement as a small firm with a truly big idea for enhancing communities like ours.
I've been watching SimpleSense move through their product roadmap and into the market, and they are a stellar team with a significant tenacity that, I believe, is required to build a truly remarkable company.
The global IoT market will be nearly $500B by 2020. SimpleSense has cracked the code on a rapidly scalable technology and is a leader in this space. Their team of serial entrepreneurs knows how to make winning design decisions to create compelling value and simplicity for their customers.
Simple Sense is a great team with an even greater idea. I look forward to seeing their products implemented in all kinds of businesses. In the emerging world of IOT it takes both new ideas and experience to make a great product, Simple sense is the best mix of those two qualities. Their innovation could create new forms of revenue never before seen in the retail space.
I've known Mark for over a year and am always in awe of what he is creating in the IoT and e-paper space. While this idea is the simplest that I've seen from him, its utility is undeniable. The team around him is equally impressive and I highly recommend working with them.
Mark and his team are building something that's long overdue in the retail space. They've got a solid team and a homerun idea, I would highly recommend working with them if you have the chance to do so.
