I've known Armando in person for a couple of months. We previously shared some thoughts on a Facebook Group, Italian Startup Scene.
He is definitely a rain maker. He's got this brilliant idea of applying two trends, MOOCs and Google Glass, to surgery. Well, it looks like no one can stop him at reaching his goal, i.e. having a beta and a pilot site where testing it before the end of the year. In the last two months he has been able to contact and get received by people from the most prestigious hospitals in Milan, to contact the USA surgeon who first in the world recorded an operation with a pair of Google Glass and to partner with a Milan based startup developing white label e-learning platforms.
I do enjoy spending half a day per week with him: I share the knowledge I previously acquired in the innovation-driven entrepreneurship and digital health domain, I give access to my network if necessary and all together we speculate how to expedite the execution of his idea.
