The business idea of Astrolympia is about using ESA technology and a specific patent in terrestrial applications for sports infrastructure (small arenas, trampolines, fitness devices,...), aiming for mobility and practical use, easy installment, and lightweight portability for better transportation (efficient storing) to different locations. Potential costumers include: sporting goods retailers, companies/organisations with sport or teambuilding act...

I myself am a lawyer with a strong background in international and European law, combined with a broad interest in the space economy. Currently, I am in the final stages as a student at the university, finishing with the Master of Space Studies at KU Leuven. This is an interdisciplinary advanced master programme, combining space science and engineering with space law, policy, business and management. My focus is on the latter, and the topic of my thesis research is on best practices in technology transfer from the space sector towards terrestrial applications. This passion started in November 2018 with the ESA Workshop on Technology Transfer. From there on, I developed my own business idea.
