Bettween is a service designed for media professionals who explore interactions on social media in search of news-worthy material. Everyday, publishers and journalists around the world analyze and release stories that broke first on social networks.
Social Media is an endless source of conversations that go under the radar or lost value if they are not found and published at the right time.
Given the overwhelming amount of content generated every second it's hard to believe that professionals in the news industry rely on a combination of limited tools to find signal in all the noise. Platforms & apps like TweetDeck, HootSuite or even Twitter's very own client are designed to consume content in a predictive fashion. A journalist must know what to search or who to follow ahead of time in order to find news. In many cases these tools are designed for community management and customer service and not for journalism.

A journalist must know what to search or who to follow ahead of time in order to find news. In many cases these tools are designed for community management and customer service and not for journalism.
Right now, Bettween allows the public at large to search conversations between two or more Twitter users, discover who each of them has talked to the most recently and also makes it easy to share or embed such conversations.
At this time we are developing two new versions of Bettween: Pro & Newsroom. These apps will feature:

- Alerts triggered when relevant figures in a set of lists chosen by the user begin interacting with each other, from mentions on Twitter to likes on Instagram or comments on Facebook.
- Curation. Once a conversation or interaction has been found, adding additional tweets, Facebook comments, Instagram photos, etc is as easy as dragging and dropping to a widget that can be embedded on the publication's website.
- Analytics allowing a user to discover what their chosen circles are talking about the most, tracking a number of metrics including mentions, hashtags, likes and comments to name a few.
- Teams can work together in a shared environment. Specially useful for journalists working in a newsroom.
- Embeddable widgets can be customized to match the branding of a publication or advertisers.
- Interviews can be held on social media, with a UI that brings the host and the guest together in a controlled environment but shared publicly live, allowing the audience to participate.
- Exporting supports a wide-range of formats (PDF, CSV, Bitmaps, etc) that allow publications to share their content offline as well.
We are focused on revolutionize the way news professionals search, analyze and publish content from social media.

I have worked with Diego for a few years now, in the capacity of his business being a partner to Twitter. Diego has excellent footing in the entrepreneur scene in Argentina, and has consistently demonstrated strong instincts about what types of products the market demands. This product is no different, and I'm eager to see what he and his team can deliver with the right resources and support.

I have known Diego for three years. My company represented Diego and his partner in selling their previous company, ComentaTV, to Scott McNeeley's WayIn. That sale was a significant success for the ComentaTV investors and the technology remains a core asset for Wayin. In that sale process, there was an intense competition between leading social media platforms and several national and Silicon Valley US VCs expressed appreciation for the technology, marketing and execution by Diego's team.

Bettween leverages the team's knowledge and abilities in providing functional and commercial tools that provide actionable content and analytics based on real-time analysis, access and delivery of relevant global social media to publishers. Major publishers have already shown interest in using and paying for the platform. The target market is significant and the platform will provide a strong ROI at the anticipated price point.

I highly recommend Diego, the team and this company.

I've known part of the Between founding team for a few years now, and I can attest not only to their passion for the space, but also to their excellent execution skills. I love how they combine an ambitious vision for the company and a clear short-term action plan. I definitely believe the could benefit from an acceleration program with Techstars, and at the same time add value to the Techstars community.

I’ve met Diego many years ago, before his role as CEO in Bettween.com. He’s well known in the argentinian startup ecosystem having achieved two exits, one international, one local. Throughout the years he became and expert and maven on creating links and bridges between the traditional mass media and the social media companies. Also he helps the new breed of entrepreneurs as a mentor in the argentinian chapters of Startup Weekend and Startup Next.
His partners at Bettween are well know professionals in the development and user experience areas.
In a nutshell: Diego Jolodenco and his team are super smart people, “battle proven” and with a gigantic experience on the digital arena. I really think they should be considered for this year Techstars.
