To the best of our knowledge, our study is the first one which takes into account the competition between the own ATMs in addition to the competence between the ATMs of competitor banks in an explicit manner. Also, different than many other studies which aims at maximizing the coverage of a company, we directly aim at maximizing the total profit that can be obtained. We also develop a problem specific approach and formulate the performance of an ATM by the effective bankable population (by considering day and night populations).
