Bolge

Our team is bootstrapping startup group of two enthusiastic engineers and an awesome designer currently based in Minsk, Belarus (non-EU eastern European country).

We believe that a thousands of medical devices made by hundreds of manufacturers with different user interfaces is a wrong way of medical technology developing. It causes a lot of useful medical personnel time to waste due to learning each the time and remember all of those.

We believe that there could be better solution, like it happend once with mobile phones since the iphone.

At the moment we are developing Bolge - multifunctional modular medical device. Its base module offers easy and ergonomic control over tens of different functional modules, such as vibrational massage, electrical miostimulation, inhalation and other physical therapy types. Moreover it can be easily turned into diagnostic device by attaching diagnostic modules such as electrical miography or pulsometer (and even more).

The advantages of it are fruitful: one multi-purpose tablet-type base with touchscreen and beautiful well-developed interface, one type of plug for every type of functional modules - all that allows to use Bolge in physical treatment room in clinic as device that covers up to 100% hardware needs or even at home or even in analysis lab. Customers can buy exactly that modules they need, and buy others when it will be necessary. It also needs less time to learn how to use the device after new module was bought.

WiFi+Bluetooth in base module is used for firmware update, remote control, and can be used for mobile phone app synchronizing data such as electromiography or tonometric info via apple’s HealthKit SDK or on cloud – all those features allow Bolge to be futureproof.

At the moment we have a concept of our device and we are prototyping it (almost 80% of work is done already).
Current task is to make exterior and UI of our device awesomly good.
