Pilot programmes are now being developed and delivered for adult stroke patients.Breathe has also developed a ground-breaking programme where teenagers with severe mental health problems are taught magic tricks in order to improve their emotional wellbeing, communication and body language skills.

As an off-shoot, Breathe Magic Communications Training is a unique and effective training programme for healthcare staff and corporate clients. We use the principles of magic, which are based on the science of body language,as a tool to teach highly effective communication techniques.

In addition to our work using magic, we also deliver the largest performing arts programme in to any hospital setting in the UK - combining a diverse range of music, theatre, dance and spoken word in to clinical, public and community healthcare settings to reduce patient anxiety and improve the working environment for staff.

Breathe's work is supported by robust clinical research. The research won a first prize at the European Academy of Childhood Disabilities Conference in 2012.Our programmes have recently been highly commended in the WellChild Awards 2014 and were shortlisted for two award categories at the Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards. Breathe has also been selected as one of The Observer and Nesta's 50 most exciting companies in the UK changing the face of British Business by offering innovative ways to tackle social challenges.
