Our solution

For example, 8 hours of sleeps is reduced to an average of 5 minutes of possible grinding sounds. The dentist can log in and manually validate the grinding sounds, provide a diagnose of sleep bruxism and start a treatment plan (e.g. keep regular track or confidently prescribe a night guard).

Using mobile technology and Bruxlab’s medical algorithm this service provides a scalable solution. Bruxlab helps the dentist to provide better service to patients and be able to track sleep bruxism over time as well. Bruxlab’s approach requires no upfront capital investments by the dentist; every patient with a smartphone can be diagnosed.
Bruxlab has CE Certification and is HIPAA compliant. Pending patents applications submitted in 2014, 2015 and 2016 at USPTO, WIPO and RVO-NL. The medical algorithm is proprietary to Bruxlab and can be applied to other sleep disorders or licensed to 3rd parties.

Go to Market
As per November 2015 the World Health Organization amended the diagnostic criteria for sleep bruxism (ICD-10). In conclusion: the new criteria are favourable to Bruxlab’s service offering since “sound only” meets new diagnostic criteria. Together with the review of clinical signs the dentist can perform a full diagnosis in line with latest medical standards. Bruxlab will offer the dentist a dual service model; a fee per use or a full license per annum. The dentist will invoice the patient for services rendered.
