Amazing things Bulent's made
One of the latest things that I have led and very excited about is an agent-based simulation engine. Collaborating with numerous economists, I have led the redesign and the extension of presumably the most advanced and complex simulation model for macroeconomic systems. The mutli-agent-based model is called EURACE. The novelty lies in its model reusability and scalability. The simulation set-up enables researchers and policymakers to create a large family of economic systems that can vary from a closed single country to a representation of a global economic system. No or minimum amount of coding is required. The simulation engine has already been used for the prototype of an online economics game. A number of policy research questions have been addressed and published employing the model. For instance, we have addressed policy experiments on green finance, housing market regulations, and exit or entry policies for economic unions similar to Eurozone.
