Calabrian High Tech, (CHT) 670 thousand € of fully paid capital shares, is a limited liability firm, and a SME, spin-off of Calabria University, holder of several Italian and European patents and patent applications, specialized in mechatronic equipment robots and automation, mainly but not exclusively for medical applications.

Established in 2002, assignee of a regional project (POR Calabria) in 2004, a national (PIA) in 2006, participated to a PIA of another company, coordinated a group of firms in the Regional Health Pole, projects LOCUBIRehab, with the application of its medical robot (Navi-Robot, named DARTAGNA) to rehabilitation, to PON003_004 on the development of an angioplasty robot (ROSA-RObotic System for Angioplasty) that will start clinical trials next week The following pictures show the first X ray trials, the Slave, the actual Master, the set up phase and the disposables.

Products up to now designed and prototyped are a double forceps for single access laparoscopy (in preparation the pre-series for clinical trial, ready a first prototype for animal trials, patents granted in Italy and USA, European in process, worldwide multimillion dollar market expected, given the novelty and utility of the twin clamp, resulting in a high value of the patent, a self balanced arms 6 degrees of freedom Robot Navigator (international patent granted) able to work as a measuring device and to turn into a robot, initially designed for orthopedics, but applicable in performing precision biopsies under CAT, fluoroscopic of ecographic guide, a robot for laparoscopy that, unlike da Vinci, uses traditional instruments, a customized fixator for articulations, a precision mechanical guide for positioning screws and nails in the bone structure.

CHT has sold three Italian patent applications, the first to a firm that used it to obtain a PIA (National research program), on a system for the intraoral detection of the teeth shape, two to Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte Gmbh, on a method to almost totally eliminate vibrations in a washing machine during centrifugation.

Presently we just completed the prototype of an automatic plant for fiber extraction from broom.

Practically all these projects were originated observing problems and thinking on possible solutions, hence we are open to work also on other problems as demonstrated by the cases of the washing machine, the broom plant.
