Can-Scope is a web and mobile platform designed to bridge the "information disconnect" between cancer patients, family and friends of cancer patients, doctors, and researchers. We envision one location where all of these important players converge to find, share, and converse about relevant information pertaining to each cancer type. This site/app and portal intends to prospectively and retrospectively collect general information about patients who have or had been diagnosed with cancer and use the contained information to appropriately project the outcomes in a way that is both relevant and intelligible to the lay user. Payers and providers can use the portal as a patient care management system to engage the patient and ensure proper care and survival of the cancer patient from the point of diagnosis.

This site/app and portal intends to prospectively and retrospectively collect general information about patients who have/had been diagnosed with cancer and use the contained information to appropriately project the outcomes in a way that is relevant and intuitive to the lay user. Information will be gleaned from current registries for relevant information and exhaustive database architecture will be set up. Information will also be prospectively obtained from participating hospitals that will be a part of this important group effort.

Benefits:
Patient – Receives the best care and information based on data regarding their health from various sources.
Doctor – Can use it as a decision-making tool for precise information for treatment and clinical trials to help make the best decision possible for the patient. Portal will be integrated into most EMR/EHR systems for easy-to-use access and implemented within the physician’s workflow.
Payer – Can view the progress and discuss any of the procedures with the doctor to make sure the patient is getting the best care possible without unnecessary tests or treatments using the bundle payment system for value-based care. More patients in clinical trials will also mean less spending for payers for particular patients’ care.
Researchers – With patients given the possible options of clinical trials, we expect increased enrollment into clinical trials, leading to more data and better drug development.
