Hello there,
I am founder of a B2B project (development of SaaS). My expertise is in business (sales) and not technology so I have outsourced development of the software.
As I am not IT person I strive to understand what is FI WARE , can it help my project and can my project fit in at all as my software is based completely upon Microsoft technology:
• Visual Studio
• Visual Basic
• Bing maps

o Cloud services
o Table storage
o Azure SQL
o Inbound & outbound traffic
o Access Control Service
o Azure AD

I believe that my project fits in from a generic point of view (PPP, B2B related SaaS, trading across Europe etc.), but I don't understand the technical part.
Can you please advise if you can help me at all.

No worries when you're a salesman, not a geek. The FIWARE thing means you have to use at least one service from FIWARE enablers (see the basic guide) to fullfil the terms to be accepted into an acceleration program. It's not about to use it as the main technology, we co-op with AWS, Microsoft and other providers as well. It's fine to use these enablers to solve secondary functions.

The enablers are divided into 7 categories (eg. access control, repository, ...), ask your developer to check the catalogue which one may fit your needs. We will provide guidance later, I hope we will find a solution.
