The primary objective of the Alchemist project is to bring about a revolution in the internal combustion engine by recognising, developing, and commercialising the gains that can be made to the efficiency of said engine by utilising Enhancement Chemistry to alter the characteristics of the burn within the engine, resulting in a greater release of usable energy from the same volume of fuel than is currently achievable utilising a standard air/fuel mix.
The Enhancement Chemistry principle operates on the basis of a dual-cracking mechanism. Although it at first glance appears to be contradicting the 2nd law of Thermodynamics, energy isn’t actually being created, rather it is not being wasted in the form of waste particulates which are actually aggregations of unburnt tangled diesel hydrocarbon chains.
The Enhancement principle is a universal principle and applies to all compression ignition engines, including automotive, rail, marine, plant and aerospace.
The benefits include a more efficient engine improving fuel economy by a minimum of 15%. A consequential reduction in CO2 emissions. A dramatic reduction in PM’s and a similar dramatic reduction in NOx (minimum 70%).
Very simply, Enhanced Combustion creates a dramatic improvement in the productivity of a compression engine.
