People are apprehensive to lend their items because of lack of trust in the borrower and logistics hassles. Potential lenders are losing on benefits both in tangible (monetary) & intangible form. On the other hand potential borrowers have to struggle a lot to arrange for required good or service.

Borrowing & lending happens today in small and fragmented volume. Some of the ways used as of today are:
• Among people who directly know each other (often a small set)
• Office/College spam groups (these mail threads or forums are not built for this so are unfriendly to use)
• Social media groups or pages (again these are not optimised for lending and borrowing)

From our market research we identify that demand from borrower side is already present and healthy. However supply from lending side is extremely less, primarily due to trust issue with misuse of good or service.

Apart from trust we found that people face issues like:
• Lack of consolidated platform to match lender and borrower.
• Packing and Transportation problem for goods
• Collecting tangible or intangible benefit

Solution
First problem we wish to solve is lack of trust for lenders. As per our research people are afraid to lend to strangers however they are willing to offer to people in their networks like offices, colleges etc.
Six out of every seven people chose to lend in their current workplace, college or previous workplace.

This indicates if lenders find a way to exclusively look at borrow demands or directly offer items to lend in their circles, they will be more willing to offer. Insurance and borrower reviews or rating can further bridge the trust gap.

Sharing inside circle will help building the missing trust factor to some extent and will also encourage sharing in following ways:
• Helping out a buddy from circle
• Developing a contact from circle, which can benefit later on as well
• Sense of association to circle or college

Apart from trust, transaction convenience will also be very important. We are targeting to solve following:
• Discovery problem
• Logistics
• Payment collection etc
• Anonymity during the transaction

Circle Sharing will act as a platform for lenders to transact in their preferred circles. It will provide facilities like automated payments, logistics support, user reviews & user ratings etc.
