Israel has taken part in the Cleantech Open Ideas Competition since 2009.
Israeli companies have reached the competition finals every year since, as well as top rankings over the past two years, making Israel the Cleantech Open Host of the Year in the last three years and 2016 Compass Award for GEN Country Champions.
In 2013 the Israeli representative, GreenSpense, won in the chemicals and advanced materials vertical, and got a silver medal in the global competition.
In 2014, AutoAgronom, the Israeli winner, won the first place in the global competition held in Silicon Valley. The same achievement the 2015 Israeli winner, AseptoRay, managed to earn.
Another notable success is our 2012 winner, Nova Lumos, which reached the competition global finals. Cleantech Open organizers introduced Nova Lumos founders to a major multinational company which led to a meaningful relationship. Following that, Nova Lumos received funding from a major Israeli cleantech venture capital and has been showing impressive growth ever since.
Cleantech Open 2018 Israel finals will be held at the Porter School of Environmental Studies main auditorium on January 3rd 2018 to an audience of entrepreneurs, managers, investors, researchers and government representatives.more
