We are solving the problem of nurses spending more than 50% of their time on tasks they are overqualified for. We want to reduce this to 0% by more automatisation, less interuption of tasks, and qualifaction based task delegation. In the long run, this will help fight the nursing gap, by enabling the hiring of other staff on open nursing positions. As we also increase the quality of care and service for patients by allowing them direct digital interaction with their care team, we additionally increase patient satisfaction and treatment outcome.
With our initial product we supplement the nurse call system digitally. Patients use their own digital devices or entertainment tablets to send specific requests from a menu instead of pressing the red button. These get transmitted to the most fitting employee on the basis of smartphones - service requests such as something to drink to support staff, painkillers or change of infusion for example to nurses. Patients receive better service as staff are less stressed and additional information on when their request will be taken care of. Additional services are offered on both sides: patient get entertainment offers, fill satisfaction surveys and have translation options on their devices. Additional processes such as transportation, hygiene/cleaning services can be integrated and steered from the nurse interface of the system.
