Under such circumstances, Executive Functions (the higher functions of the brain which are specified to human being and are located in the prefrontal lobe, ex. Goal Setting, Planning, Self-Regulating and Self-control, …) of the brain must act in such a way which lead to saving people and refinery with the least possible loss. Imaginary story of Mr X arise many questions, such as; which EFs are crucial for someone like Mr X? Dose the performance of Mr X’s EFs is in such an appropriate level to hold such positions? Are the priority and performance level of EFs the same in all critical positions? Which therapies can improve the performance of EFs? How HR and Project Managers (in human resource risk management) can take the advantage of our answers to these questions?

To answer these questions a pilot research should be done, this study will take benefit of new technologies such as FMRI, ERP, and EEG to record brain functions and signals while experimental and control group members are doing some EFs tasks. Since such approach to human resources is novel and have not been done yet in Iran, we decide to use the current potentials we already have in hand. Therefore, we took the first step by discussing the issue to an oil and gas company which has critical inshore and offshore oil and gas projects and has many critical job positions. Although, the pilot study will be done in the oil and gas industry, It is applicable to any critical positions in other organizations and firms(ex: Pilots, flight Attendants, Control Tower Operators, Critical Army positions, Physicians, Crisis Managers, Politicians, Investors and so on).

The outcome of this study can be resulted in establishing a talent management firm which specializes in providing consultancy and research services to organizations, schools, and individuals with cognitive approach.
