The European Union has for the first time in its 60 year history, launched programs to directly fund entrepreneurs and StartUps and SMEs. This is the so-called “HORIZON 2020 DEDICATED SME INSTRUMENT” that is a brand new initiative and has just been published. Entrepreneurs and Startups in Europe can get grants of between EUR 50.000 and EUR 2,5 Million. Funded activities range all the way from risk assessments to design or market studies, intellectual property exploration, to prototyping, testing, demonstration, and scaling-up, to name a few. And in contrast to private investors you won't even have to surrender ownership shares in exchange for this support.

This is first of a series of workshops about the SME instrument, launched to support start-ups in the member states and help them successfully secure EU funding with minimal hazzle and helping them to:
