CoSchool is having an exponential impact on thousands of students across Colombia, and I was lucky to have been part of their inspiring team from Nov 2014 to July 2016.

Colombia's great potential is limited by the trauma of civil war and an education system not developing a new generation of leaders.

CoSchool works with schools and government to deliver leadership programmes and teacher training. Students collaborate together to design solutions to issues in their local communities, supported by expert educators that help develop the mindsets they need for future success. Through teacher training and supporting a growing network of leadership schools, CoSchool are ensuring that their work is sustainable and can scale across the whole country.

CoSchool was recently named by Dinero magazine as one of Colombia’s ‘super companies’ of the future. They have great traction and an incredible team and, with public education budgets at record levels their potential is huge.

As a serial entrepreneur, startup mentor and a long-time professor teaching social entrepreneurship, I have worked closely with dozens of new ventures from countries around the world. Of those there are perhaps 1%-2% of founder with whom I would choose to work closely with for extended periods. Ed and Henry fall into that category. They are smart but without ego; curious and open-minded, they ask great questions and work to immediately apply advice and learning that they recognize as meaningful and accretive to their venture. Their hard work and passion show up every day, and most importantly, they architect their efforts to get positive results. They are resourceful, energetic and an absolute joy to work with. Should you ever have the opportunity to meet and work with either or both of them, jump on it! I strongly recommend supporting them in any useful way you can!

We (Unreasonable Institute) have been honored to work with CoSchool this year. Ed and Henry are a spectacular team of extremely committed, driven entrepreneurs with the humility to learn from mentors and from their markets.

They are addressing a significant need: revolutionizing an education system stuck in a previous century in a post-conflict country needing strong leadership. Their students not only perform well academically, but prove mastery of leadership skills by launching initiatives to make change in their communities. And they've thus far supported over 1500 students.

They're proving a model that can work, while building relationships with officials in the government who can help them deploy it across the country. We'd make a bet on Henry and Ed any day and we couldn't recommend them more highly!
