We are developing medical devices for developing countries. Most of the medical devices are developed either in the US or Europe, therefore they are solving problems in these locations, not the urgent problems in developing countries. We are creating solutions for the needs in developing countries, delivering affordable technologies by using additive manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence. Our USP is that we are using smartphones as our main tool, and we are creating software and hardware solutions around a smartphone-based platform. This way, we can sell at affordable prices our hardware and create software linked to our hardware that can be used as a diagnose tool.

MicroREC is allowing surgeons in developing countries to acquire an affordable platform to record and transmit their microscopic procedures. By using their own smartphone, the save the costs associated to most of the hardware of recording systems, but simultaneously they get a platform that offers much more functionalities than the conventional recording systems.
With the ifundus, our second project, we are creating a portable and affordable platform to diagnose diabetic retinopathy. Using a smartphone and our patented optical system, users can capture images of the retina. These images are then sent to our servers where with the help of our AI algorithms, a diagnose of the patient’s eye is made without the need of an ophthalmologist. With ifundus we are providing affordable medical consultation to population in developing countries, where diabetes is growing rapidly and where doctors are not able to cover all the population in need.
