DEMETER (H2020)

OPEN CALL #1 - DEVELOP
I am a self-employed mobile apps developer and I am interested in topic #2 as I have already developed a similiar app but I am concern about source code availability requirement because I don't want to my existing product be open source. I could develop another product from scratch if needed, is this that possible? Would I be elegible for this open call being self-employed? Dear Marcos,
Thank you for your interest in the DEMETER open call.
As mentioned in section 3.1.1 of the Guidelines for Applicant only SMEs are eligible in this open call. Self-employed individuals are not. h2020-demeter.eu/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Guidelines-for-Applicants.pdf
Regarding requirements, applicants should meet the requirements requested for each topic. If not possible, a clear justification should be included in the proposal.
Best regards,

Could you precise us another aspect?
What do you mean by the term interoperability and integrability with the Demeter Platform? Should the proposed solution (in our case we refer to Topic #4 Blockchain basesd-solution) be a complete tool, with it own graphical interface, or should it integrate with the existing Demeter platform, via API, thus using the Demeter interface?
Thanks

Dear Lisa, the interoperability means that developed components works with DEMETER data model which is based on NGSI-LD. The tools should have its own UI. Kind regards

In the webinar was said that one of the requirements to apply was to be an Independent SME, in our case one of our associates is another SME with a 25% of shares of our company, are we still eligible? Hello Marcos, thank you for your participation in the webinar and interest in DEMETER. Deciding whether or not a company is an eligible SME requires a case-by-case analysis due to the different factors involved. We invite you to read section 3.1.1 of the "Guidelines for Applicants", and also the "User guide to the SMS definition" where we believe you will be able to find the answer to your question:

Hi Lisa, it means the fund is provided without an exchange of equity. DEMETER will not retain any equity of the SMEs. For more details please check section 5 of the Guidelines for applicants: h2020-demeter.eu/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Guidelines-for-Applicants.pdf

We are excited to participate in Demeter in the smart farming IoT platform. We have developed these sensors with Farm to Table supply chain into consideration with ultra-low-cost sensors. Let us know if further information is needed on the team and IoT platform. We are excited to participate in Demeter in the smart farming IoT platform.
