We upload Merchant menus to a server. Users access menus via the Dodecki app on iPhone and Android. They can peruse nearby places and menus, build their order, and submit and pay within the app. Orders are relayed to restaurants via the Dodecki Merchant app.

We've done some growth hacking by pre-loading menus of restaurants that accept phone orders. Our staff relays the order details to the restaurant on behalf of the user. This is a temporary tactic to help us solve the two-sided marketplace paradox. We are exploring strategies to decouple user growth from the merchant sign-up and on-boarding process.

We track user behavior, demographics, geographical information (e.g. location, weather, time), dietary preferences, etc. to enable businesses to create Smart Coupons — highly target digital promotions that are based on any number of activation criteria — to drive traffic to their venues. As we continue to grow and collect more data, we’ll be able to give tailored insights to businesses.

Business Model:
• Businesses will be charged on a CPM or CPA basis to deploy promotions (Smart Coupons) to Dodecki users.
• We charge a sign-up fee for restaurant listings.
• A small transaction fee will be taken to cover the cost of payment processing.
• Pre-funded ‘virtual card’ will yield interest earnings on deposits held.
• Enterprise customers may opt for a vanity app solution with additional system integration options. Customers remain Dodecki users and we own the data and sale.

Smart Coupons are the primary profit stream in Dodecki’s model and accommodate any size marketing budget, from a mom-and-pop café to a mega-corp retailer.

Restaurants can deploy ads risk-free with CPA ads, which have no up-front cost; we take a percentage of an order in which a promo is redeemed in-app.

CPM ads provide another option to advertise; we charge based on number of views. This type of ad is not limited to restaurants that accept mobile orders via Dodecki — any business can leverage our unique, aggregate data to offer targeted promotions (e.g. present a digital barcode at a point-of-sale).

Users see promos as Deals + Rewards within the Dodecki app. Having many personalized coupons helps spur adoption.
