At DojoBoost, we are looking for teams to build great startups in Paris. We define great startups as companies doing something innovative that solves a problem or business need. The innovation can be in technology, business model, novel application of technology or a whole new business idea.

In our experience, your business idea is going to change dramatically during your time at the accelerator. As you develop your idea, speak with potential clients and release your product, you will modify your product to match market requirements. We are interested in your analysis of the market and the proof points for offering your product to the market.

Since you are an early stage startup, the team is one of the most important criteria for selection. You do not need to have a product to be admitted to DojoBoost – but you need to have experienced team members that can build the product. We value domain expertise very highly. Outsourcing development is not a viable option. You need someone on the team that is capable of building the system. They may need help – but they have the skills, given time, to build the product.

The composition of your team is important. You need to have a technical person on your team. More than one tech person is better. We accept teams of two or three people. In a three person team, an optimal mix would be one or more tech staff, one design/front end and up to one business person. It’s ok to have all tech staff. You also need to agree on the CEO, joint CEOs rarely work.

Please take your time to create concise, yet detailed, answers to these questions. Think of this as a resume and your letter of motivation rolled into one. Let us know that you have analyzed the market and have an innovative solution to a problem that is implemented by a great team.

Good Luck!
