Dryad develops Silvanet, a system for ultra-early detection of wildfires. Using solar-powered gas-sensors placed directly in the forest and employing embedded machine learning, the Silvanet sensors can detect forest fires even during the smoldering phase, within the first 60 minutes from ignition. Faster than camera-based systems, Silvanet provides a critical time-advantage to fire fighters to put out the fire before it spreads out of control.
