DSW IoT Competition 2018
About DSW IoT Competition 2018
This is not just any pitch competition. This is an opportunity to throw down with international business leaders about the global economic shift coming with 5G wireless networks and the Internet of Things, or IoT.
We invite anyone with a good idea in the world of connected devices to tell their story and compete. DISH co-founder and chairman, Charlie Ergen, returns to Denver Startup Week for a second year. One of the most influential players in the U.S. wireless industry, Ergen will lead the panel of heavy hitting judges.
In this new world of IoT, everything will be connected, from cars to cows. There is a clean slate ready for new ideas on just what the “Internet of Everything” will look like.
We’re looking for startups with a product poised for greatness, a student who likes to tinker, or an accountant who’s thinking well beyond a spreadsheet. Bring your Raspberry Pi, your homemade circuit board, or just a well-thought out product or application idea that may not have the wires connected yet. Innovation can come from anywhere, and this competition seeks to find it.
Judges
Charlie Ergen, co-founder and chairman of DISH. Founded in 1980, DISH has reclaimed its role as a startup as it enters the world of wireless with a brand new IoT network, and eventually a next-generation 5G network.

Stacey Higginbotham, renowned IoT journalist who operates Stacey on Iot, the Internet of Things podcast and whose work has appeared in Fortune (where she was a senior editor), PCMag, MIT Tech Review and Gigaom.
Prize
The winners will earn a private meeting with each of the judges, and who knows, maybe a chance to springboard their idea to market.

Enter by Sept. 13, 2018.
