ecoSPEARS utilizes transformative in-situ technology to remediate and remove PCBs, PAHs, and other organic and inorganic compounds from the world's soil, landfills, and waterways.

Founded in early 2017 by a team of Entrepreneurs from New York and Chicago, our organization's leadership is no stranger to the long-lasting and harmful effects PCBs have on our ecosystems and marine life. Originally manufactured in 1929, PCBs are an organic man-made compound originally used in certain paints and building materials but later found to possess harmful health effects. Although outlawed in 1979, the damage was done and the spread of PCBs now covers the globe and affects almost every community.

Our mission is to bring a true and sustainable solution to the worldwide issues of PCB contamination and to provide every person on Earth with access to clean, toxin-free water.

Our SPEARS technology, licensed exclusively through NASA, has been tested and shown to remove PCBs directly from the sediments they contaminate. Along with PCBs, this technology has been shown to also remove amounts of PAHs, dioxins, and other toxic hydrophobic organic and inorganic compounds from marine sediment with the potential to provide similar effectiveness in contaminated ground-soil and landfills.

ecoSPEARS seeks to provide the world with cleaner water in order to help create and ensure a cleaner, clearer future. We seek to help educate the public on the dangers of PCBs as well as to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to expedite the clean-up process of toxic contamination in our planet's waterways.

ecoSPERS: Vital. Clean. Brilliant.
