One of the biggest challenges facing the AR/VR industry today is the cost of creating content and the ability to distribute and watch that content. Room-scale, volumetric content is difficult and expensive to produce and distribute. Building environments, whether photo-real or CG, is labor-intensive; integrating characters and objects takes custom engineering; and distribution is only possible via a “walled garden” model of headset-specific portals. Moreover, consumers cannot access VR content without VR goggles. These factors are slowing the development of a medium that has the power to revolutionize media, entertainment, education, and more.

REACH incorporates
a) a database of volumetric environments;
b) a toolset for easily adding characters and other assets to these spaces;
c) a platform allowing the resulting content to be published via a web link.
We achieve this through a combination of proprietary technology (e.g. auto-removal of green screen backgrounds from 2D videos) and strategic partnerships (e.g. with Mozilla for A-Frame browser-based VR, and Sketchfab and others for the library of volumetric locations). The results are viewable on any device without the need for a download, allowing navigation via touch screen or keyboard, with the option to view in a headset for full immersion.
