ESTEEM!

ESTEEM is a box subscription service for girls ages 3 to 12. ESTEEM's mission is to provide life changing content to empower young girls with a strong self-esteem.

Each "ESTEEM Kit" includes 3-5 products that will inspire girls to love themselves such as books featuring strong female role models, clothing that reminds them they are powerful and beautiful, school supplies that encourage being themselves, taking risks, etc.

Each ESTEEM Kit will also include a "self-esteem activity" backed by psychologists to build confidence. An example is the "3 complements" activity, where every morning the girl writes complements to herself. This type of self-affirmation has an enormous impact and is shown to improve scores in math and graduation rates.

Lastly, each box will include an "ESTEEM Guide" designed for parents. This is a single card stock page that dives into a single psychology concept, gives tips, things to try, things to avoid, and is meant to be a quick, easy to read summary for parents teaching key concepts. For example, many moms don't know that they way the talk about their own bodies... "I wish I were skinnier, I don't like the lines on my face" teach girls very early on that a person's value is in their appearance. The ESTEEM Guide coaches parents in a friendly way to help them create the best possible environment for their girls.

Parents have the option of purchasing the subscription service every 1, 2, or 3 months. The boxes will be developed in three unique groups: ages 3-5 for $49/box, 6-8 for $55/box, and 9-12 for $59/box.

We are excited to see all girls and parents get the science-backed support of the ESTEEM Kit! We have the several growth opportunities including self-esteem building for boys and teens, community self-esteem building events, partnerships with schools, educational programs for parents.

ESTEEM could expand into new product lines such as apparel, household goods, school supplies, etc. based on the brand name and trust in ESTEEM-backed products.

ESTEEM could further expand into the mental health field. People go to the dentist 2-3 times a year. Many get an annual physical. But what about a mental health check up? Can we provide a service that connects customers digitally (think a Skype-like application) with psychologists to receive routine support. This can change the way people access mental health support and reduce the stigma around mental illness.
