These attributes, often referred to as transferable attributes or skills, go beyond the traditional personality type indicators as they also capture aspect of motivation, engagement and potential. However most firms tend to rely on traditional personality and ability tests when screening potential new recruits, in their efforts to get the “right fit” for the firm. Research has indicated that many of these traditional tests are weak predictors of workplace adjustment and performance and some are open to bias responding.
We seek to flip the perspective. How about measuring what people can do and are doing, rather than attempting to find out who they are or were? In that sense, people’s attributes relate to their current skills and abilities and their ambition to learn new ones.
Exit Entry is going to work on the basis of the core attributes identified in the literature from (Dublin City University, Singapore University, Harvard and the Word Economic Forum) to bring to the market an innovative tool combining those core attributes with a priori ipsative assessment (Kline, 2005). In an ipsative assessment, the candidates compare two or three dersirable options and pick the one that is most preferred .The mobile App functions allow users (students) to login, authenticate, build a basic profile to include university attended, academic qualification, student number, area of study and area of interest for jobs. The Pitch me page allows the student to create their own video pitch for an identified job which is then fed back to the employer. The soft skills piece allows students to upload video or photo content for each skill (ipsative questions built into prompts for each skill) and this content will then be measured and fed back to employers in a graph format identifying the students skills.
