Facteroid is rethinking news from the ground up, delivering a novel experience based on data, facts, and primary sources.

We present news as a series of events in an interactive timeline with charts, data, and primary sources. A powerful combination of automation, AI, and community contribution gives you a unique way to explore news topics. Interactive timelines allow you to explore stories in ways that traditional news articles don't (eg. sort, filter, see how trends in data overlay timeline events)....

How does one understand long-running news stories in the news without being swayed by the opinion of the writer? How does one separate fact from fiction from opinion? In the age of Jan 6, QAnon, and anti-vaccine conspiracy theories this is THE pressing question of our time.

I believe Facteroid will be one of the startups to successfully address this challenge. Its focus not just on the current day's news but on the context and history of the story is an interesting and unique approach to giving users valuable perspective on the big-picture surrounding a topic. It's an antidote to the news-feed-based knee-jerk reaction to the present without understanding the past.

Vinay is the right founder to lead such a company. His wealth of experience from previous startups and his experience leading technical teams will be key to making Facteroid work. His understanding of the tight feedback iteration cycle in early-stage startups will be especially key to making sure the project finds PMF.
