famlido is a family management app that helps parents never forget their kid again by syncing calendars, scheduling tasks and automating helpful reminders based on daily habits, like picking up milk before it's out, while gathering lucrative buyer insights for retailers.
As a nanny of 8 years I’ve watched families struggle to manage partners, kids and nannies daily. Parents use 13 different methods to manage their time from sending multiple texts and email reminders to partners/ nannies and wondering if tasks are actually getting done while they’re at work. So, I took the best of Google Calendar, Trello and Slack to create the master SaaS for families.
The famlido app updates events from multiple family calendars (even paper ones) to a single calendar for all to follow, then schedules tasks to the right person at the right time by tracking everyone’s availability. Finally, we automate intelligent reminders based on daily habits uniquely by each user’s designated administrative role and preferences. For a parent, we might remind them to pick up milk every five to six days by scheduling it into their calendar on their way home from work, or schedule monthly date nights when both parents and the nanny is free. For a nanny, we might remind them to tidy up after a playdate before parents get home or spend time with children doing an off-screen activity.
For $15 a month, we’ll provide a Chief Operating Officer, a second mom, managing five synced calendars with unlimited tasks and intelligent reminders for up to ten members. As our user base grows, we’ll learn more about where these families are buying products like milk or services like grocery delivery and why, opening secondary revenue from lucrative buyer insights that retailers and CPG brands need.
After six months of market research/customer interviews, beta testing, and participation in several accelerators including NYC Startup Boost, our latest validation data proved we can acquire customers efficiently at scale. According to targeted Facebook/ Instagram ads, there are over 2M working moms in our Greater NYC target (40M nationally) of high earning, new moms who are early in their careers looking for easier ways to manage work and family. That’s a $30M MRR opportunity in our target market alone. With an average customer acquisition cost of $15 and lifetime value of $90, we’ll make a $75 profit per family starting with our public launch in March 2020 while helping parents never forget their kid again.
