Demonstration on Construction of 60 herd Feedlot one at Institute and the other at community level in Ward 5 Mufiri Shurugwi District. Each Feedlot requires a budget of USD$10000 hence a total of USD$20000 has to be raised. This creates employment for youth and women who will fatten their own cattle. The 60 cattle will the be fattened on three monthly cycles with sal in the fourth months. So there will be three groups fattened every year. The income will be USD$1000/animal which totals USD$60000 per batch and subsequently USD#180000 per year per feedlot. There will be a total of 20 participants per feedlot (10 youths, 5 women and 5 male elders). Fifty percent (50%) of income will be reinvested to feedlot as revolving fund (USD$90000) and the other 50% will be paid as dividends to the 20 members per feedlot. Each member will then receive USD$4000 annually. This is a wealth fortification programme since these people are now getting less than USD$2/day or less that USD$720/year....
