Our sensor "sees filters as humans do" and helps provide an accurate measure of the clog level of air filters so that they can be replaced when exactly needed without having to check physically. A patent has been issued by the USPTO, and some claims are under continuation.

Our story started in a cold basement in Boston, to find a way to automatically change air filters on time. After feedback about a cartridge style replacement prototype, especially from Ariel Braunstein (ex CTO of Lytro acquired by Google), Filtermatix pivoted to finding a way to determine the clog level of air filters in the form of an IoT sensor.

The sensor is at MVP stage with a refined algorithm that can accurately determine clog level of filters is currently under testing with early users. We have developed partners for electronics development, 3D Design, Hardware review, manufacturing and marketing resources to bring the product to market. We have 3 industry experts and previous startup CEOs as advisors and have a two seasoned executives interested in joining the team to build the company and grow the business.
