Question about the instruction not to modify the proposal template style (font size, margins, header and footer etc): until now we have been using LibreOffice Writer to create our proposal. However, I noticed how the instructions spoke of "yellow sections" that are not visible in LibreOffice.

We were just able to open the original template in Microsoft Office Word on someone else's computer and just found out that even though the lay-out looks fine in LibreOffice, it does look different when opened in Microsoft Office. And the yellow sections are only visible in Microsoft Office Word (not even in other RTF-readers like Mac TextEdit).

So my question is: what is the "official" lay-out that we should adhere to? What does the "official" lay-out look like and do we risk being disqualified when the lay-out looks a little different (but still good) due to use of LibreOffice? Or are we forced to use/buy Microsoft Office to be able to "properly" create a FIWARE proposal that is not disqualified?

You will not be disqualified for that. Respect the ten page limit and there will be no problem. We recently go this warning but it was a bit late to change the template. So for next call we will provide the templates with different extensions to avoid problems. Best regards
