Type of Organization
1. Entrepreneur-minded Researcher (not incorporated): Independent Researchers, Post-Doc/Graduate Students, Inventors 2. Start-up: Start-ups are younger than 5 years, feature (highly) innovative technologies and/or business model and have (strive for) significant employee and/or sales growth. 3. SME: < 250 employees, AND a turnover ≤ € 50 m OR a balance sheet > € 43 m. 4. R&I institute and/or lab: Centres with infrastructure to conduct R&I. 5. Research Park: A strategically planned, purpose built work environment, designed to locate in close physical proximity university, government and private research bodies involved in a particular field of endeavour. This is so that knowledge can be shared, innovation promoted and research outcomes progressed to viable commercial products. 6. Industry Trade Association / Business Network: Member/constituents driven organization, that provide services to interconnected companies, associated institutions, and to third parties in a specific sector or industry., including Chambers of Commerce. 11. Accelerator / Incubator: Organizations whose main mission is to provide incubation (support to very early stage start-ups), acceleration (support to start-ups, scale-ups and innovative SMEs), to accelerate business growth - and it includes access to capital), and co-working (space availability, from a work-station, up to an office) services. 12. Other: Governmental Agencies, Charitable Foundation, Investors, Consultants, Misc.

The participation fee for this Tour is €525, payable upon acceptance into the program. Participants have to cover their own costs for flights to and from the United States, hotel accommodation as well as other costs not mentioned above (e.g. ESTA/VISA application costs, health insurance, etc.) by themselves.
