ForkTrotter is an online marketplace for homemade-like authentic ethnic food. It lets foodies discover authentic ethnic cuisines, retrieve a taste of travel or a taste of home. ForkTrotter started first as a service for meals homemade by chefs native to the cuisine, available for pick-up or delivery. We have conducted six months of beta testing in manhattan with four ethnic cuisines and had an order growth of 15% MOM. We tremendously learned from the beta phase and realized chefs do not have the means to manage the logistics when they receive multiple order in the same day. We are currently working on a pivot to homemade style catering for parties of six and above. We will be partnering with a select number of independent ethnic restaurants and chef caterers, curated by their authenticity and quality of food.
