About GAMIC 13TH
“The Global Automotive & Mobility Innovation Challenge or GAMIC is designed to identify innovative companies, cultivate new technologies and solutions, and hasten their adoption into the automotive industry” said David Stout, SAE International board of directors and GAMIC 12th co-chair. “Founded as collaboration between SAE and the MI Innovation Alliance, GAMIC has been exceedingly beneficial to our entrant companies in both funding and commercialization. GAMIC provides over $300,000 of in-kind commercialization services and cash awards to winners.”
GAMIC is a three-phase, global virtual pitch competition that begins by submitting a free online application, via F6S (www.f6s.com/gamic13th/apply).
Phase 1 (Quarterfinals): Applicants are selected to pitch virtually at one of several quarterfinal events to be held between the months of November 2020 and January 2021.
Phase 2 (Semifinals): Over 20 Semifinalists will be selected from the quarterfinal events, and assigned at least one industry mentor to prepare for the virtual presentation at the Semifinal event in February 2021.
Phase 3 (Finals): Twelve finalists will be selected from the semifinal event to present at the Finals event in April 2021.

*2008 winner EmiSense Technologies, now a unit of CoorsTek Sensors, has secured nearly $10 million in funding for clean technologies to digitally measure oxygen and nitrous-oxide with better cost and accuracy, and products started going into vehicle production for the 2017 model year.
*2014 winner Covaron Advanced Materials, has raised $2 million in funding and has several partners for their cold ceramic molding products.
*2015 winner SiNode Systems, which has been awarded $4 million to develop advanced battery materials for electric vehicles.
*2015 winner Advanced Battery Concepts, triples life of current lead-acid batteries, 2X charging speed, lighter weight; 6 Global License Adopters.
*2019 winner Orbitless Drives with low-loss gearbox platform enabling ultra-low noise, super high-efficiency gear-heads for electric motor applications.
