All of these tasks will be enabled by our proprietary machine learning algorithms and compact mechanical design. This will help eliminate almost all of the manual labor required to fill a prescription. None of the other pharmacy automation systems available today automate the entire workflow from end to end. Even the most advanced machines, such as the Eyecon and KL60/100 automate only small parts of the workflow, and require significant human intervention. This limits the utility of these machines, and prevents their widespread adoption.

By creating a fully automated end-to-end system, we will reduce the need for employees to be involved in these time-consuming and low skill parts of the pharmacy workflow, increasing workplace efficiency. This will allow pharmacists to focus their time on what they were trained to do and not waste time by counting pills by hand.

In particular, steps in the workflow such as product verification can be automated for the first time using our proprietary computer vision algorithms. These algorithms will also significantly reduce the possibility of human error. The resulting fully automated workflow will also reduce the potential for theft, which can be a significant problem especially when dealing with controlled substances such as opioids. Finally, this system will allow pharmacies to run on even a skeleton crew if necessary, which is a potentially key feature during crises such as the Coronavirus pandemic.
