GeoAerospace is a geospatial information technology company with core expertise in spaceborne & airborne remote sensing and cloud platforms. The company collects, processes and analyses spaceborne and airborne data. GeoAerospace have also developed their own cloud based geospatial platform which is an intuitive and highly versatile geospatial data and information services hub. The platform enables anyone to book an airborne survey (satellite, aircraft or drone), download remote sensing imagery and share data with easy-to-use mapping and analysis tools based around latest optical and LiDAR sensors.

Founded in 2017, GeoAerospace is a Maynooth University spin-out geospatial technology company comprising commercial aircraft pilots, drone operators, surveyors, geospatial scientists, software engineers and data scientists. The goal of the company is to make cutting edge spaceborne and airborne information-gathering technologies readily accessible to anyone at an affordable price. The company uses latest advances in spaceborne systems, light aircraft and drone platforms, sensor technologies and cloud computing to allow the end-user to specify exactly what they want in terms of mapping and monitoring services without having to deal with the operational complexities of data collection and handling. With many of our staff originating from Maynooth University National Centre for Geocomputation, we strive to be at the cutting edge of geospatial and remote sensing technologies.

Our team of experienced aircraft pilots and drone operators are commercially qualified for aerial survey operations and we have access to a variety of UAV platforms for a range of applications from mapping, monitoring to inspection and delivery. This includes multirotor (<4kg to 25kg) and fixed wing UAV’s capable of large-scale mapping – up to 500ha. The team were also the first Irish Aviation Authority approved BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operators in the country.

In addition, the company own and operate a Cessna 172 aircraft. The aircraft has a dedicated EASA approved sensor pod and is equipped with a complete survey flight planning and aerial survey system.
