It also shows that people don't have enough time to learn, so how will they find the time to share?

Additionally, the "Panopto workplace knowledge and productivity report"** presents that among those surveyed;
* 80% reported being frustrated at the inability to access a former colleague's knowledge.
* 85% agree that preserving and sharing unique knowledge in the workplace is critical to increasing productivity
* 81% state that knowledge gained from hands-on experience is the hardest to replace once it's lost.

While these studies has some limitations, it shows that companies, in these agile work environments, are often left vulnerable to additional costs related to onboarding, resources and productivity.

These findings, along with this self-directed learning are a great opportunity for us to empower organizational KM by capturing knowledge as soon as it is transferred, created or learned.
By doing that we're preventing knowledge loss while saving time (when sharing) and frustration (when accessing).
