MOKSH is one among such machines from GFF Innovations. It is common in India that farmers burn crop waste in fields after harvesting. The reason for burning is high transportation cost they need to bear viz. INR 3500/acre. Also, the time taken to make the land ready for next crop is as high as 7 days. Other methods available to manage the waste like bailers, choppers, Happy-seeder are all time consuming and expensive process which takes up most of the turnover time in between harvesting the crop and sowing next crop. In country like India where farmers grow 3 crops/acre/year, the time is very crucial element to sow the crop. A late sown crop means less crop yield. MOKSH is a patented machine developed by GFF Innovations which while traversing through farms picks up the crop waste from one end and produce fine dried powder and carbon-black on the other end with the help of novel and patented RF based microwave non-thermal drying process and Artificial intelligence adapting to different varieties of crop waste. Fine powder is sold in the market at INR 7000/kg and Carbon-black at INR 55/kg generating a revenue of INR 5000-7000 per acre. Since the waste is now in dried powder form, it is 20 times more compressible than raw waste and easy to transport and manage. The services of MOKSH are offered to the farmers in a UBER like service model at INR 200/acre. The revenue generated is split among GFF Innovations and service providers in 70:30 ratio making service providers earn INR 40,000- 50,000 per month. MOKSH clears 1 acre of crop waste in an hour as compared to 5-10 days with traditional sun-drying and burning method.
