Giggypop is a platform for building sustainable social connections around remarkable events.

Making friends is necessary, but challenging. Whereas technology has helped people network and date, social connections are still hard to crack. Events are a great way to connect with people known and new, but the barriers to getting to an event are three-fold:

First, there's a problem of discovery. How do I know what's on, and what's awesome?
Second, activation. Who can I get to book with me so I'm not alone?
Third, logistics. When and where should we have a drink beforehand?

People start talking and connecting, share a remarkable live experience, and a micro-community is formed. Then the “Giggypop Effect” kicks in: We send a follow-up invitation to join a Crew at future events, so our micro-community can reconnect, deepen, and expand.

We’re focusing on the 2.4 billion-pound UK live music market first to build community density, because this is where we have the most domain expertise.

We were able to go to market quickly by leveraging an internationally-featured music community I founded, called The Note Well. The Note Well has five thousand of the most socially engaged music lovers in London, steadily being activated by Giggypop to lead our Crews and tell their friends.

Other community platforms and event services have to create each experience from scratch, or sacrifice quality by providing un-curated and unofficial services. Giggypop has a greater capacity to scale because we build upon handpicked existing events, so we can deploy our product quickly while maintaining quality. Events run on cycles, so one event partnership opens the door to many locations and dates.

Giggypop’s model monetizes three ways: service fee, discounted supply, and recurring subscription. This positions us to double or triple the margins of traditional ticketing services.
