We are living in an increasingly cash-free society where the smallest traders and poorest inhabitants are segregated and left aside. No spare-change for the busker at the station, the person sleeping rough in need of a hot drink, or the donation box. How many times have you wanted to give to a homeless person or a busker and not been able to?

GivingStreets was born out of the frustration of not being able to give spontaneously and at the most unexpected moment to those that need help. GivingStreets brings back spontaneous acts of solidarity between people, anywhere, anytime.

GivingStreets targets the problem of financial inclusivity in cashless societies by enabling person-to-person donations without cash, including end-users without a mobile phone, or bank account....

The concept of GivingStreets is impressive: in a more and more cashless society the aim of the company is to help people that formally relied on spare cash (homeless or street musicians) and give them another option to ensure a source of income. They are using block chain technology in combination with smartphones to allow people to give and people in need to receive. They also aim to ensure that the money that was given can only be used for products that do not cause harm to the user.
I believe that this technology is there to support people in need for the right reasons at the right time.
Great concept, great idea!
