• The sustainable business model GlobalVision will implement in each hospital is the Affordable Eye Care Model (AECM), pioneered by Aravind Eye Care System in India. This proven model dramatically improves operational efficiency and lowers costs, enabling hospitals to treat substantially higher volumes of patients and become profitable. Meanwhile, it ensures access to high-quality eye care to all economic strata by using profits from wealthier customer segments to provide services to low income patients at low or no cost.

• GlobalVision will provide centralised financing and operational support services to start up these new hospitals operated by talented local physicians. GlobalVision Holding Company will raise blended finance - grants, equity and debt – to establish and finance hospitals. GlobalVision’s operating company backstop operations, providing standard policies and procedures, staff development and fostering local management. GlobalVision enjoys partnerships with leading eye care training institutions, which will provide their training services to GlobalVision hospitals.

GlobalVision's blended finance strategy utilizes donor funds to de-risk startup hospitals and attract socially-minded investors followed by private capital towards investments that will deliver development impact. Private investors will benefit from lower risk and enhanced returns on their investments. Meanwhile, donors will enhance the impact of their funding.
