We accomplish this in three ways:
1) Gamification - For every hour that users spend volunteering with our partner non-profits they earn spendable points. Using the GoGiver web or mobile app, volunteers can track their points, see their impact in real-time across causes, and "level up" by reaching certain goals for giving, both individually, and as a community.
2) Rewards - We partner with businesses and online brands to provide volunteers with freebies and discounts (think Groupon for social good i.e. spa services, fitness classes, coffee, retail) that they can redeem in exchange for the points they earn for taking action as a volunteer.
3) Coaching - GoGiver leverages its expertise in volunteer management and retention by providing our non-profit partners with individualized coaching as necessary to help them create a more fulfilling and engaging experience for their volunteers.
Not only does this system solve a major pain point for non-profits and make giving more engaging for the volunteers themselves, but it creates a way for companies interested in social good to engage in charitable giving in a way that is flexible and cost-effective for them, while increasing brand awareness and creating positive PR.
