Our startup is a beneficiary under FP7 in the Agrifood and eHealth sectors. Our development team is well versed and experienced in software architecture, low level and high level programming, as well as system implementation.

Our Agrifood project is named Rural Poultry Management System and is targeted at the European rural poultry breeders and producers and will be built on the following cornerstones:
- Cloud based solution;
- Individual identification of the single fowl with a combination of RFID ring tags or barcode/QR codes; related both to breeding/pedigree management and to poultry production and sales;
- Primary data gathering on the lifecycle of the main object – the individual fowl;
- Secondary data gathering on feed and feed conversion, farming activities, farmland and infrastructure, forage composition, weather and other conditions, equipment, supply chains and retail, etc.

- Management of the prescribed prophylactics program;
- Records keeping and generation of all relevant reports for auditing, inspection and certification;

The system front end is web based and accessible from any desktop or mobile device with an internet connection. For tasks related directly to fowl handling an RFID reader or QR code scanner enabled device should be used.

By enveloping all of the above aspects in an integrated system, the following benefits stand out:
- All work processes are tailored according to the best practices and governed by an up to date system in compliance with the regulated requirements, thus preventing any deviation from the set standards;
- Data validation/verification and significant reduction in human or system error factors;
- By aggregating the constantly increasing data, new knowledge will be derived by joining related information together and spotting correlations, that will enrich various aspects of the rural poultry activities, either in real time for maximised efficiency or in longer terms for predictive purposes, leading to better decision making;
- Centralised data backup and disaster recovery;
- Breeder/producer/retailer closer networking and cooperation;

- Real time statistics and reporting, showing feed conversion, other rearing costs and profitability, as losing money on the business is among the top risks.
